Very easy to use, and very nice. Either Iframe the produced html file, or get the code and place it in a constant. The code is well documented.
This is similar to Wow slider. Unlike the Wow Slider however, this one does not impose a link on the images. Wow slider is slightly easier to use, but this is not bad at all.
You can use the Wow Slider, or the Easy Rotator if you want to link the images to URLs, and also have descriptions for each image. Otherwise, the jquery cycle in the QS Galleries will do the job.

With V2.8 we got a very professional newsletter. Perfect if you have your own server. But most of us have shared hosting, and some hosting companies limit how many emails you can send per hour, or per day. If you have hundreds of registered users, that subscribe to your forums, blogs, newsletters, or you have auto response forms setup, you can figure out that some if not most emails will not be delivered. What can you do? Change hosting company that has no email limitations, or get a new hosting company that has bigger email quotas, OR use Feedburner to push your newsletters for free, and not use some of your precious email quota numbers.
Feedburner was bought by Google at some time in the past. Yes Google again! Feedburner is primarily used as an RSS enhancer. One of its' tools is delivering the feeds through email.
So, you get a Google account, setup your QS RSS feed with Feedburner, and configure the part to delive the content through emails as well. They will give you embedding codes to put in a constant in your QS site, which will allow people to subscribe to your feeds, similar what we have with the QS Newsletters. Then you specify which 2 hour time frame during the day (everyday) the feeds will be emailed to the subscribers. That's it. The emails will go out everyday, as long as there are new feeds. If you don't create new content for your feeds, no emails will go out that day. Neat huh? You can send News, Specials, Coupons, anything you can imagine, even images...
Ok last part: How do I create feeds in QS? Not every page in QS is capable of pushing RSS feeds, and furthermore, you have to configure each part to Push RSS feeds. Within QS, you can configure to push RSS feeds with:
1. List Pages - the feed will be the List Items.
2. Catalogs, and
3. Themes - whether Community Blogs (Discussion Boards), or Personal Blogs (I think that's it).
NOTE: Anyone can subscribe, but they have to activate their subscriptions with an email they will receive from Feedburner, just like with the QS Newsletter module. So, you can weed out the garbage email submissions.

- nick6352683@yahoo.com says: (05/08/2011 03:54:08)Just talked to my hosting company (Godaddy). They have a daily limit of 1,000 emails per day. That's it. So if you have busy forums, even with only a few dozen subscribers, a nice auction site, or having a Social Networking script running, you will look like a moron!
For email heavy sites, do not use Godaddy... any suggestions out there for US based good, and relatively inexpensive Windows Hosting, with no email limitations? - Pieter says: (05/08/2011 11:31:58)This is great Nick! Thanks for sharing this!
There is 1 more RSS export in QS: just add "rss.asp" to a domain.
ex: http://www.quickersite.com/r/rss.asp
This feed flushes the total quickersite (all pages). Whenever a page gets updated, it comes on top. That is how you can use feedburner to send an email each time a page gets updated. - nick6352683@yahoo.com says: (05/08/2011 18:14:53)Thanks Pieter, I did not know that. Very interesting. With it, imagine you have a QS just for email advertising for your clients. Perfect, easy and dirty solution if you have your own QuickerServer. You give each customer their own page, and the ability to edit their own pages using the multi editor feature. You push RSS the entire site. If anyone made any changes that day, feedburner will deliver it. Nicely done!

http://www.xcloner.com
This is mainly for php/Mysql scripts, but it works fine with Godaddy servers with Windows hosting as well. It should work as well with most Windows servers, as long as php is enabled.
This backup script is free, and takes away the need to use a desktop app, or a FTP program to backup your server. You can backup the whole site, or if you want just some files, for example just the access database. Sorry, SQL is not supported...
It even has a clone feature where within the script you can have the compressed backup file sent to a new server, and with a restore script, automatically uncompress it in the new server. Or simply, after a backup you can download the backed up file.
You can cron jobs (schedule) for automated backups with Linux servers only. With windows you have to do each backup manually.
I was able to backup a QS web site of about 40MB in less than 30 seconds, and download it again within seconds. Total backup time to my local laptop - about a minute. It would take much longer using FTP to back the entire 40MB QS folder.
The only limitations:
1. A little bit weird to configure the folder setups initially, it's all about creating the temporary folder, and setting the read/write permissions to it, if you follow the initial setup screen, it will indicate the problems...
2. You cannot backup from remote locations. In other words, I can only backup folders and files that reside on the server that the script resides. You can not setup the script on one server, and expect it to be able to backup things from 20 other hosting accounts.
3. No MS SQL support, just MyQSL, and for obvious reasons Access.
Other than that, a good way to setup backup systems for your clients, where there is no need to install anything. Just after the initial successful setup, just point your browser, and start backing up, restoring, and deploying to other servers, with the built in FTP if you want to.
An invaluable tool to automate backups with Linux servers. To automate things with FTP or desktop app., you will need a pc to be running 24/7. With XCloner, everything is handled within the web server level, you can go on a 2 week vacation, and not worry about anything.

The script does not know how to start in windows. That is for Linux servers. They have what hey call cron jobs, and this script supports it. I've tested it on both types of servers, although I did not try the cron job in action yet.
Don't forget, this script was for Linux servers. It's so happens that it also works well with Windows servers as well. - Pieter says: (05/08/2011 19:00:11)

This is free, you can add title, description and custom url for each image. You can use this to create templates similar to some of the premium paid templates you can find on the internet. This thing is very easy to use, and looks and functions very nicely.
For a couple of reasons may I suggest Iframing the sliders into your pages.

Very easy to setup. It plays mp3 and video files. Look at the examples on the page...
NOTE: It only works on live sites. It will NOT work with a localhost.
I'm glad to be back from my 7 day vacation (not really).

- nick6352683@yahoo.com says: (14/12/2010 22:09:49)I did not try upsizing to SQL, but the MySQL conversion software works like a charm.
P.S. My customer who was using ASPRUNNER, now wants to use PHPRUNNER (long story). I had created an app. in ASPRUNNER for him over a year ago, and instead of re-creating the data, I just (successfully) converted it from Access to MySQL. Re-creating the entire code took about 4 hours (many tables, complex relationships, etc...). By the way the new ASPRUNNER 6.3 or PHPRUNNER 5.3 is amazing, my favorite new features are tabs, sections and Autofill fields. You can try it for free for 21 days, then it's $400. Little bit pricey, but if you get one customer, it pays for it self and some... just like QS, and Artisteer by the way. - nick6352683@yahoo.com says: (15/12/2010 10:24:26)

Here is one that did not expect:
As some of you know, I use Adobe Flash Paper 2 to convert long documents to flash and display it in my web sites. The advantages are many. It takes 10 seconds to convert a 60 page word document for one, it provides many helpful buttons like zoom, full screen, print, jump to a specific page, etc... Furthermore, these documents stream very nicely on the web. They show up almost instantly.
I was shocked today when I found out that Google crawled into the flash file and was able to index it according to the keywords I was using in the QS page. Until now, the general belief was that the bots could not penetrate flash files. Is this not valid anymore, or they can just penetrate Adobe flash paper files only? It remains to be seen...
P.S. Adobe flash paper costs $79, but in some instances, a very valuable and capable tool.
Nick.

This is an enhanced version of from Microsoft. It gives more details of what processes are actually running. Useful to determine what is causing the CPU running at 100%. You can get a free download from Microsoft at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx. Have used this numerous times
